David has been involved in the UK Business Finance sector for over 30 years, working in various organisations ranging from multinational banks, to small independent specialist lenders, focussing primarily in the asset-based lending market (ABL).

As an integral part of any business he works in, David has a proven track record of growing new start ventures to ultimate success. Following the successful sale of IGF back to the GLE Group in 2004, David launched Partner Commercial Finance in 2005 to address the independent advisory and sales function to deliver receivables finance to the UK ABL lenders. This proved to be very successful and has continued to elevate Partner to one of the most established independent ABL advisory consultancy’s in the UK today.

Once PCF was established David also launched a specialist confidential invoice discounting lender called Gener8 Finance. After starting Gener8 in 2008, David led the business through 9 successful years, financing over £1.4 billion of receivables, each year reaching new heights in terms of profit, until the sale of Gener8 in 2017 to AIM listed 1pm Plc.

David now focuses his main attention on all matters Partner Commercial, with a small team of specialists, advising SMEs on cash flow management, debt recovery, turnaround advice and sourcing funding as each business requires.

In his spare time he enjoys travelling worldwide (with the FD!), scuba diving wherever possible, road biking and golf.


Every business needs a Tracey. The central processing unit of the team. Although always involved in the background with Partner, it was only recently, following the sale of Gener8 Finance, that she can focus full time on her expanded role. As FD of Gener8, she was part of a team taking Gener8 from new start to £250 million of annual turnover. Until the sale in June 2017 to 1 pm Plc, an AIM listed provider of asset based lending facilities to the U.K. SME market.

A qualified Accountant and proven performer, no surprise, she will be responsible for all finance and administration matters for Partner Commercial.

In her spare time, when it eventually arrives (!) she enjoys keeping fit, playing tennis and travelling the globe.


A career in finance spanning 20 years, and working with institutions such as Barclays, ABN AMRO and Bibby Financial Services.

Principally client facing, internally ensuring that the client maximised the benefit from the facilities provided, and externally ensuring that the facilities sold could be delivered by the funders.

It was whilst working with Bibby that he transferred across to an internal brokerage, where financial solutions were provided from the whole market, and not just from a sole provider.

Hobbies:  Armchair enthusiast for most sports but enjoys playing golf.
